How-to Guide: Set Up the Ledge Integration on NetSuite (SuiteApp)

In the guide below we will install the Ledge Integration SuiteApp and configure the necessary permissions to connect NetSuite to Ledge.

Note: Administrator privileges are required to complete this guide.


Step 1: Create the new source on Ledge

On Ledge - go to the Add new ERP source pagearrow-up-right (SourcesAdd new sourceERPs) and click on the NetSuite logo.

Click Get certificate button to download the ledge.pem file. You will need this file in step 5.

Step 2: Enable Web Services

Open a new NetSuite tab, and search for or navigate to the Enable Features page.

Under the SuiteCloud tab, check the boxes for SOAP WEB SERVICES, REST WEB SERVICES and OAUTH 2.0.

Step 3: Install the Ledge SuiteApp

Search for or navigate to the SuiteApp Marketplace page.

Under "Search SuiteApps", search for "Ledge" - select and click "install" on the right side of the screen

Step 4: Assign Role to User

The installation will create a role for Ledge, which will now need to be assigned to a user.

Search for or navigate to the Manage Users page.

Click on the user you wish to assign the role to, and then on the user page, click the Edit button.

Under the Access tab, click Edit, pick "Ledge integration role", add it to the user and click Save.

Step 5: Generate OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials

Search for or navigate to the OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials Setup (M2M) page.

Click Create New and fill out the form as follows:

  1. Under ENTITY, pick the user to which you previously assigned the role

  2. Under ROLE, pick "Ledge Integration Role"

  3. Under APPLICATION, pick "Ledge Netsuite Integration"

  4. Under CERTIFICATE, upload the ledge.pem file you downloaded from Ledge's user interface

Click Save. Copy the CERTIFICATE ID of the new certificate and paste it into the Certificate ID field in the setup form on Ledge.

Complete the form by entering the your NetSuite's URL (e.g. https://123456789.app.netsuite.com/arrow-up-right)

Click Create source.
