Spring Product Releases
June 2025
We’re excited to share the latest round of upgrades to Ledge - designed to streamline reconciliation across accounts, accelerate your month-end close, and deepen automation across the finance stack. With this release, we’re continuing our journey toward a fully autonomous finance back office, while keeping human oversight front and center.
Account reconciliation: from close fire drill to continuous control
Finance teams can now reconcile transactions and balances across different representations of the same account - like ERP cash ledgers vs. bank balances - with zero spreadsheets required.
Our new account reconciliation module lets you:
Continuously monitor and match ERP activity to external systems like bank feeds and PSPs
Flag timing mismatches, unapplied transactions, and misclassified entries in real time
Auto-suggest journal entries to explain and resolve variances
Track reconciliation status across periods, accounts, and reviewers
Store audit-ready documentation as you go, not after the fact
It’s built for month-end, but designed for daily use - so you can catch issues before they snowball, and always know what’s open, cleared, or needs attention .
AI-powered suggestions: replace guesswork with the confidence of AI agents
Our agents can now help you close faster by automating the most tedious parts of your workflow - from matching payments to posting entries:
AI Matching Suggestions
Ledge now goes beyond deterministic rules, to suggest matches across sources using AI-based inference
The agent parses transaction metadata, free-form memos, and remittance emails (including attachments) to propose matches - even when structure is missing or inconsistent
Built-in explainability lets you validate suggestions before applying them
AI Journal Entry Suggestions
Suggested journal entries are now available when unexplained variances arise
The engine draws on transaction details, accounting practices, historic posting, and contextual signals (e.g. account class, transaction type)
Whether it’s FX drift, fee absorption, or unbooked refunds - Ledge can now propose the fix
All AI outputs are human-in-the-loop by default, and come with rationale and traceability for audit.
Audit trail: now a first-class feature
Transparency and control are fundamental to modern accounting ops. With our new Audit Trail page, every user action, match, override, and entry is tracked and queryable in one place.
Access a full log of changes with timestamps and user details
Filter by action type, account, or period
Export or link directly to individual records for compliance and audit prep
Audit confidence, without the backtracking.
Swift integration: now live with ledge’s BIC
Ledge is now officially on the SWIFT network. That means:
Ledge can receive and process daily MT940/942 reports from banks around the world
Onboarding banks just got faster, easier, and more secure - especially for enterprise and international customers
Swift-based reconciliation flows are now native to the platform
This is a major unlock for expanding bank coverage - and one more step toward universal financial data access.
Infrastructure enhancements
We have upgraded some of our data processing infrastructure and data sync processes to ensure faster, more reliable performance. These upgrades improve the platform’s processing speed, helping teams work more efficiently with up-to-date data. As part of this, we have updated our list of sub-processors supporting the delivery of our services. In addition to our existing providers, we now engage Snowflake and ArangoDB (both based in the United States) to provide data storage infrastructure. These sub-processors meet our security and compliance requirements in line with our Data Processing Addendum.
