# Close Checklist

The Close Checklist is the heart of Ledge's close management capability. It contains all of your tasks for the period with every relevant attribute visible in one place.

#### What's in the checklist

Each row in the checklist represents a single close task and shows:

* **Entity** and **account group**
* **Preparer** and **reviewer** (your segregation of duties)
* **Attachments** and **comments**
* **Task status** (e.g., open, done, awaiting review)
* **Due dates**

#### Filtering and grouping

The checklist table is highly dynamic and customizable. You can:

* Filter by **assignee** (yourself or any team member), **task status**, **entity**, **due date**, **folder**, or any other custom value.
* **Group** the checklist by any column value — for example, by folder, by preparer, or by both at once.
* **Drag and drop** columns to reorder them.
* **Collapse and expand** groups as needed.

#### Opening a task

Clicking on any task opens a right-hand drawer with full task details, including:

* Task type, status, entity, and folder
* Any existing attachments
* The date the task was prepared and reviewed
* A full **activity log**
* A **comments** section where you can tag team members

#### Attaching files

From within a task, you can attach files directly from your computer or from a connected storage provider like Google Drive.

#### Notifications and Slack integration

Ledge integrates with Slack (and other messaging tools). Any team member subscribed to a task will automatically receive a notification — both within Ledge and in Slack — whenever relevant activity occurs, such as a status change or a new comment.

#### Bulk actions

From the main checklist, you can select tasks individually or in bulk to:

* Assign a **preparer** or **reviewer**
* Subscribe team members
* Mark tasks as **canceled**

#### Creating, importing, and exporting tasks

* **Create** a new task manually using the button in the upper-right corner.
* **Import** tasks from an existing file.
* **Export** the entire checklist as a download to share outside Ledge.

#### Launching an agent

From any task, you can click **Create an agent** to automate that task using Ledge's Agent Studio. See Section 3 for details.
